Ajani Brannum (they/them) investigates the choreographies of life in the shadow of empire. (Where are we?) Through a fluid, shapeshifting performative practice, they observe the forces that persist - for better, for worse, for otherwise - in and through our living. (How are we?) Ajani draws heavily on the knowledges they inherit as a Black queer maker with southern roots, honoring and extending the ancestral wisdoms that animate their craft. (How do we?)
Patty Gone is a Los Angeles–based video artist, poet, and performer whose work revels in the aesthetics of nonsense and the minor key of the surreal. Blending academic rigor with low-budget mysticism, her performances and video essays remix pop detritus—soap operas, sitcoms, children’s lit—into strange, speculative forms. She has shown work at the Queens Museum, REDCAT, and the Porn Film Festival Berlin, with writing in The Believer, Hyperallergic, and Art Papers.
Brianna Ahlmark is a comedian and clown based in Los Angeles. Often compared to Andy Kaufman, Jesus, and other women, she has no credits at this time.
